Poison Letter

I had wanted to delay writing this post til have made the necessary police report and press conference. However, due to the number of people who called and emailed me to check if the said "poison letter" which was allegedly written by me was real, I thought its best that I make my position clear here.

For those who are not aware of what I'm referring to - there has been an email circulating relatively widely, severely criticising and possibly defaming the Kum Lun Tai restaurant in Sri Petaling. The letter was signed "Tony Pua, A Concerned Consumer".

Let me state clearly that I am not the author of the letter, and the perpetrator is clearly up to mischief, with clear intent to defame me. At this point of time, I will not reproduce the letter here. However, if you were to receive it, please inform the relevant recipients that it is not written by me.

Dear Tony,

With so many spin dramas going on in this country recently which are directed by UMNO from behind, we know what's actually going on.

We trust 100% about your sincerity and personality to serve the nation. We'll pray for you and support you always!

God Bless.

YB Tony,

Please watch your back carefully, the BN (UMNO) government is extremely cunning and dirty. The feel the stress from opposition now and is desparate to do something to brainwash the voters. We are not that stupid as compared to 10 years ago.

We want democracy! We want BN out!! We want Pak Lah down!!

Hello MCA,

You lot got nothing else better to do, is it?

We should not just jump on UMNO or MCA. How can UMNO know any on-going of a chinese restaurant? It may even possibly come from an inside, who knows. Tony's response in this matter is rational but not these bloggers who are filled with prejudice.

BTW is there any truth in the allegation on the restaturant?

I have not seen the letter. On the merit that that it was just a letter critising/defaming the said restaurant and the name Tony Pua was used, I am curious to know why do you think that there was a malicious intent to put you down at all?.

Do you think it is not possible to have another TONY PUA in Malaysia who actually wrote the leter and that it was a genuine letter of complaint?

I just got the e-mail :P
The Tony Pua in the e-mail has a wife and 3-year old daughter.
Too coincidental, no?
But his English is too sucky to be yours lah.

I have just received the email and yea... the English used does not look like it is from someone who graduated from Oxford Uni.!!! :) Maybe that person should improve his English first...Haha!

Hi Tony,
first of all, I think I need to apologize as when I first received that email, I really didn't know who Tony Pua is and I actually forwarded that email to kum lun tai restaurant, telling them that someone has such comments about their restaurant. that is because my family used to be quite closed with their boss in the early days when they have only 1 branch in Jln Petaling. And, I had been going there since I was a child.
However, the forwarded email to them was then rejected as that email account is no longer exists.

Today, I received that email again, and somehow I found your blog knowing about your background now, I am pretty sure that email was not written by you as the english used in that email was so poor... it definitely not yours!
I have done what you told so... email back my frens and told them to truth.
